Original Acoustic
Art Panels
Every panel in our collection starts with original art. Not a stock photo, not an uploaded image, not a licensed graphic — original acoustic art panels conceived and created by digital artist Glen Hoffman specifically for home theater environments. Each piece is then printed on acoustically transparent fabric and mounted over a 1" or 2" high-density absorber core, so you get professional-grade sound control and a work of original art in a single installation.

Owner Glen Hoffman has been creating acoustic art for home theaters since 2001, developing a portfolio of dozens of original designs engineered to remain visually captivating when distributed across a room.
Whether you choose one of our gallery designs or commission something entirely custom, every panel ships ready to hang.

Transform Your Theater with Original Acoustic Art Panels

Standard acoustic panels do one job: absorb sound. Our original acoustic panel art does that and more. Each panel is engineered to target mid- and high-frequency reflections — the primary cause of echo, dialogue muddiness, and listener fatigue in home theaters.

The artwork is printed directly onto stretched, acoustically transparent fabric using our proprietary printing methods. The fabric is then mounted over the absorber core, which contains an internal frame. The result is a panel that performs identically to a plain fabric panel while serving as a piece of original art on your wall.

All panels are custom-built to order in Boca Raton, Florida.
How Our Original Acoustic Art Panels Are Built
View Our Portfolio of Original Acoustic Panel Art
Most acoustic panel companies offer to print your image on an acoustic panel. However, they require you to upload a stock photo that can most likely accommodate only one acoustic panel. Furthermore the resolution of many of these images is less than ideal. That's not what we do.
Glen Hoffman has been creating original high resolution art specifically designed for home theater interiors since 2001. He was the first artist to create original art exclusively for Acoustic Panels and Home Theaters. We believe he still remains the only artist to do so.
Each design is developed with the room in mind — how it reads from severalfeet away, how it uniquely spans across multiple panels without becoming repetitive, how the colors hold under theater lighting.

Each piece is digitally created and rendered at an extremely high resolution. This translates into reproducing a superb print. The resolution of many stock photos is less than ideal and usually saved in a compressed format (to save on space), which can sabotage the quality of the images .
When creating large format prints and panels, the quality and resolution of the image will ultimately determine how awesome your acoustic panels and theater will look. Our experience and knowledge of art and graphics separate us from all other panel companies.

What is acoustic panel art?
Acoustic panel art is a sound-absorbing wall panel with original artwork printed directly on the fabric. It functions identically to a plain acoustic panel but replaces the blank fabric surface with a custom image — turning a functional necessity into a design feature. Our home theater art panels are a popular alternative to plain panels for dedicated cinema rooms, listening rooms, and recording studios.
What makes your panels "original" acoustic art panels?
Every design in our gallery was created from scratch by Glen Hoffman, the owner of 3-D Squared and a working digital artist. Unlike most acoustic panel companies that allow customers to upload any photograph or stock image, our gallery consists exclusively of original compositions. Each piece was developed with the acoustics and aesthetics of home theater environments in mind — scale, color distribution, visual balance across multiple panels — making them genuinely purpose-built original acoustic art panels, not decorative surfaces with art purchased from a third-party website.
Do acoustic art panels absorb sound as well as plain panels?
Yes. The artwork is printed on acoustically transparent fabric, meaning sound waves pass through the fabric and into the absorber core just as they would with a plain panel. There is no meaningful difference in NRC performance between a printed and a plain panel when the same core material is used.
Can I use my own image or logo on an acoustic panel?
Absolutely. We can print virtually any high-resolution image on our panels — sports logos, family photos, movie art, original paintings, or company branding. Contact us with your image and desired panel size and we'll provide a digital preview before production.
How many acoustic art panels does a home theater need?
A good starting point is coverage of 25–30% of your wall surface area. For a typical 14' × 20' home theater, this means 6–10 panels depending on size. We'll analyze your room dimensions and recommend a placement layout during the consultation process.
How long does it take to receive my panels?
Standard production and shipping is typically 3–4 weeks from design approval. Rush orders may be available — contact us to discuss your timeline.

Client Testimonials
"My wife chose these panels as an anniversary gift for me and I must admit I was skeptical that six sound panels (30" x 72" x 1") would correct the sound issues in our room (large room, 20' x 30'). I'm happy to say that my concerns were put to rest after installing the panels. The ringing that was in our theater is now completely gone. On top of the actual performance, the service was stellar. Multiple design choices were sent for our review. Once we selected a couple, some fabric swatches were mailed so we could see exactly how they looked when printed on the fabric. We also needed a custom rounded top to the panels and that was handled flawlessly. Outstanding service and a great looking product that does what it is supposed to equals one more happy customer."

"We purchased 4 38 x 24 panels from Glen. The detail on the panels are amazing and the quality is excellent. These panels are worth every penny. If you're look to set your home theater apart from the rest, you need to work with Glen and 3-D Squared. The panels not only look great, but they really tightened up the sound in my theater room. Thanks Glen for a job well done."

"We built a custom home theater and wanted something more interesting than plain acoustic panels. 3D Squared was highly recommended to us. They were able to scan our pictures onto the panels and the quality and vibrancy is beyond belief. The panels also work as well as the ordinary panels. Then we wanted something very dramatic for the lobby that would also cut the echo. We had an artist create a custom design and 3D Squared printed it on a 6 foot x 4 foot panel. It is unique and incredible and the echo is gone. Glen was terrific. I ordered 9 panels plus my large one, so it was not inexpensive and I wanted it to be perfect. I had lots of questions and many, many conversations with Glen. He was always responsive and easy to work with. Everyone who sees our theater is completely impressed by the acoustic panels. I recommend him without reservation. The quality will be beyond your wildest expectation !"
